I was working in Nicosia, Cyprus for 1 1/2 year in a lebanese advertising agency and learned a lot about the horrible destructions the war caused in your beautiful country, former known as switzerland of the near east.
And how many people of your country fled to Cyprus...
Unfortunately I did not visit the Lebanon in those days, although travelling most arabic countries... so now I have even more reasons to do so in the future. regards holger

Yeah, it was a shame, but that is the fate of humans...self destruction!

I´d advise ANYONE to come to Lebanon by 4x4 obviously and they can enjoy the offroading as well...just email me so taht I make sure that I am there!

The agency was Impact/BBDO, founded in Beirut and moved to Cyprus at the beginning of war. Owner of the agency was Alain Khoury, dont know whether he is still in business. It was a fabulous time I had there.
I was on Johnson&Johnson and Mercedes-Benz, incl. the G!!! in those days.

Alain is still around, I hadle PepsiCo in the Gulf (amongst others)...currently in Hamburg on a 1 month training with OMD Hamburg. Our new offices in Beirut are very nice and maybe you should come visit and we´ll sit with Mr. Khouri!

That would be great...send my regards, should you meet him. I´m looking forward to a trip to beirut, if not with my landy, which off course would be the best, then via plane.
